- Ford’s re-org was an effort to excite investors about the company’s progress in EVs. The plan would have been better received if there was formal split of the company. Big picture: there’s lots of optimism around EVs and it will take a decade plus to come to fruition.
- Netflix made their second acquisition in gaming with the acquisition of Next Games. Netflix’s biggest opportunity in gaming is to build a business with one or two franchise games, and stay away from casual games. We hope they can parlay their originals into a handful of high-quality games.
- Apple’s Peek Performance event next week will likely feature a new iPhone SE, a new iPad and a couple new Macs. More important than their product announcements, Apple continues to release products on a consistent cadence in the face of many obstacles over the past couple years.
